Brick Chips – Drainage Layer

Broken red brick pieces for a free-draining layer at the bottom of pots and planters – and for orchid and bonsai mixes.

Uses

1. Drainage layer – 2–5 cm at the pot bottom keeps holes clear.
2. Orchid & bonsai mixes – Porous chips hold a little moisture and air.
3. Top dressing – A neat, earthy finish for large planters.

How to use

1. Cover the hole – Place a curved shard or mesh over the drain hole.
2. Add chips – Spread 2–5 cm of brick chips.
3. Fill & plant – Add potting mix on top and plant.
