Manathakkali keerai (black nightshade) is a traditional green for kuzhambu, soup and poriyal. Packed by Sri Lakshmi Agro for home, terrace and kitchen gardens.

Good to know: Always cook the leaves, and eat only fully ripe black berries; unripe green berries are not edible.
Growing tips
- Use a light, well-draining mix, such as garden soil, cocopeat and vermicompost in equal parts.
- Keep the soil moist but never waterlogged until the seeds sprout.
- Water in the morning or evening, and feed with compost or organic manure every 2–3 weeks once the plants are growing.
- Results depend on season, weather, soil and care.
