Seed balls are small balls of clay and compost with native tree seeds inside. Just throw them on bare soil before the rains – no digging, no soaking. Use them to green open land, roadsides and campuses.

How to use

1. Choose bare, open soil that gets sun – ideally just before or during the rainy season.
2. Place or gently throw the seed balls a few metres apart.
3. Let rain soften the clay, or water gently if the weather is dry.
4. Seedlings appear in about 7–20 days; water them in dry spells until they settle.
