Dutch Bucket Hydroponic System – 10 Buckets

Dutch buckets are the hydroponic way to grow big, fruiting plants – tomato, cucumber, capsicum, chilli and brinjal. Each bucket holds LECA clay balls; nutrient water drips in from the top and drains back through a shared pipe, so the system recirculates.

How to use

1. Rinse the LECA and fill each bucket.
2. Fit the drain pipe below and the dripper line on top.
3. Plant one seedling per bucket and run the drippers 4–6 times a day.
4. Keep EC at 2.0–3.0 and pH at 5.5–6.5; tie plants to a support string.
